Many people build up investments over several years: a fund here, a few shares there, perhaps an ISA, a SIPP or a general trading account. Over time it can become hard to see the whole picture. A Free Portfolio Review is an educational way to step back and understand how your holdings are put together.

What the review is

You tell us what you hold, and Alpesh's team sends you an educational review describing your portfolio. It is investor education. It is not financial advice, and it does not tell you what to buy, sell or hold.

What the review looks at

  • What you own. A plain-English description of each fund or share, what it invests in and how it works.
  • How it is spread. How your holdings are distributed across regions, sectors, company sizes and asset types such as shares, bonds and cash.
  • Overlap. Whether several funds hold many of the same underlying companies, which is a common thing for investors to want to understand.
  • Costs. How fund and platform charges are structured, so you can see what you pay for.
  • Risk. The types of risk each holding carries, such as market, currency, concentration and liquidity risk.

Why investors find it useful

Seeing your holdings described in one place can make it easier to ask good questions, whether of yourself, your platform or a regulated adviser. The aim is understanding, not a recommendation.

How it works

  1. Complete the short form on the homepage. It takes a few minutes.
  2. The team prepares your educational review using the information you provide and publicly available fund data.
  3. If you wish, book an optional call to talk it through. There is no obligation and no fee.

Important information

Investor education only, not financial advice. Alpesh Patel is not a pension adviser. Investments can go down as well as up. Past performance is not a guide to future returns. If you need advice for your circumstances, speak to an adviser authorised by the FCA.
